Project Overview
For the annual American Advertising Awards in Kansas City, the visual concept and event branding for 2025 event were designed to reflect a vibrant game show theme—celebratory, bold, and full of energy. The creative direction was inspired by the idea of a dice, representing chance, creativity, and play.

Concept
The dice became the anchor for a dynamic identity system—paired with neon colors, sharp type, and playful graphic elements. This system extended across print and digital materials, reinforcing a consistent, memorable experience throughout the venue.

Brand Experience
Visual Identity: A cohesive system rooted in the dice and other game elements, unified by a vibrant brand color palette.
Digital & Print Assets: Programs, signage, wayfinding, social graphics, and stage visuals
Centerpiece Design: Custom-designed wooden cubes shaped like dice, laser-engraved and spray-painted in brand colors—each fitted with interior lighting for a glowing, ambient effect

Centerpiece Process & Challenges
The centerpiece design was one of the most complex and rewarding parts of the project. The concept began with a cube inspired by a dice, aligning with the event’s theme.
The goal was to create something eye-catching, handcrafted, and immersive, but the execution came with several challenges. Initial ideas involved adapting ready-made objects, but none fit the vision.
This led to a fully custom solution: designing laser-cut wooden panels, which were sanded, assembled, and painted at MHub in Chicago using their fabrication tools and workspace.

Multiple rounds of prototyping were needed—experimenting with paints, finishes, and structural strength.
Finding the right neon spray paint required testing several brands to achieve the perfect vibrant, smooth finish.
To elevate the experience, LED lights were added inside each cube, color-matched to the painted exterior, creating a soft, glowing effect on every table.
Prototyping each version was time-consuming, often requiring full-day trials—but the final result was worth it.
The centerpieces became a highlight of the event, with many guests admiring the craftsmanship and taking them home as keepsakes.
